I already use Ableton Live, and while it has some good features, the plugins (particularly software instruments) are just not up to the standard of Logic's. So the question is - if I switch to Windows, how do I live without Logic Pro X? In particular, I absolutely love the extensive set of native plugins (I rarely use anything else, apart from Kontakt), and audio comping (which saves tons of time and hasstle). Magix Sound Forge: Also available for Windows and Mac users, but with a 30-day free trial, Magix Sound Forge is a professional. The only reason my current laptop has lasted so long is due to upgrading the ram and hard drive. I am loathed to buy another overpriced MacBook Pro, since you can no longer upgrade the factory components. The application comes packed with a variety of features necessary for professional use. As anyone related to this field must already know Logic Pro is one of the most competent MIDI sequencers available. ![]() We assure you it is not as hard as it sounds. FL Studio, Reaper, Audacity, and others are among the others. It's starting to struggle with my projects now, especially when using more intensive plugins like Alchemy. posted on MaFinding Logic Pro on a Windows PC sounds too good to be true. LMMS software is one of the most helpful alternatives to Logic Pro X on the Windows platform. My venerable MacBook Pro is coming to the end of it's lifespan, being about 6 years old now.
